Some brokers feed real time data at a price level that is different from the back fill data received from DTNMA. For instance, the Euro contract from some broker feeds, is fed in with a display format of XXX.XX but when back filled from DTN MA, its format is X.XXXX. To correct this, we can add a multiplier to the DTN Symbol alias as shown below. Just go to Setup → Instruments:
Important
Most users discover this after the symbol has already been added and the backfill has already occurred (without any adjustment to the historical data). This means that the database already contains the unadjusted (incorrect data). In most cases, you will have to delete this data and add the symbol again. To do this, go to File → Open → QuotePage and select the .AllSymbols QuotePage. Then right click the instrument in the QuotePage and press "Delete from Database." Then close the QuotePage and go to Setup → Instruments (Symbols) to open the Instrument Set-up window. Then enter the broker symbol into this window at the top and enter the DTN Symbol Alias at the bottom as shown in the image above (with the multiplier). Then choose "Add" to add the symbol back. Investor/RT will then do a Full Download and all the new data will reflect the adjustment.
