Someone told me today that they think that we often double ON gaps in RTH, so a 10 pt up gap (OP-YH) would result in a 10pt up move from open. Is there a stat chart with this info?
The upper pane has signal markers when there is a gap up. Lower pane plots the subsequent max move to the upside on those days that gapped up. A profile indicator accumulates those moves up and provides the mode, mean, and median. The median is most relevant to me and is 11. You can use the button at the top to adjust the amount required for the gap up. This should work on any instrument, but you'll need to go into the Profile Indicator preferences and set the Price Per Row to something relevant for thta tick increment of the respective symbol. I've used 1.0 for ES but 0.25 would be fine as well. 1.0 just groups the results into histogram bars that span 1.0 (4 ticks).
