is there a way to hide an individual pane? Like collapsing it, but not other panes?
I'm aware there is a way for the contrary: collapse all panes except one.
You can resize a pane by placing your cursor just above the pane (until you see cursor change to 2 horizontal lines)....then mouse down and drag up/down. Using that method, you can reduce the size of the pane down to nothing if you wish. Let me know if that works.

Yes, that works thanks. It would be easier to have like a ctrl or shift + double click on title pane to hide/expand pane.
