The cloud backup service that I use DOES NOT backup Program files. I've talked to them about adding that to the menu but they say I can't.
Investor/RT seems to store most if not all of its important files in the Program (x86) folder. Can the location of that data be relocated to a Documents folder?
The Program Files (x86) folder is the installation folder. The key data is stored by default in the folder...
C:\Users\Chad\InvestorRT
(replace Chad with your Windows username).
So that is the folder you need to be backing up. Optimally, you need to schedule the backup at a time when Investor/RT is shut down...otherwise you can have problems due to files being in use by Investor/RT.
So it would seem that I need to re-install Investor RT?
If so, is there a way to "mass" save all my chart definitions?
Chuck,
Are you saying you don't have an InvestorRT folder inside your user folder? Why do you need to reinstall Investor/RT?
I use BackBlaze as my cloud backup. They will not backup c:/program files. The default for install of Investor RT is to that directory.
With the recent updates, I changed the install location for Investor/RT to a directory that BackBlaze will backup. Problem solved.
