The Heartbeat

The button at the right end of the Investor/RT Main Toolbar 
is called the Data Feed Heartbeat Indicator . This button changes appearance every second when Investor/RT is connected to the data feed. The purpose of the animation is to give the user a visual indication that market data is flowing into the program. If the button is changing, data is flowing properly. The Data Feed Heartbeat indicator is only applicable to real-time versions Investor/RT.
