Linn Software, Inc. was founded in 1989 by Dr. William E. Linn. The firm was incorporated in 1993. The company's first software products were developed for Apple Macintosh computers and received a wide following. In 1994, the company embarked on a major development effort to redesign its charting and market analysis software as a cross-platform product for both Windows and Macintosh.
